Ubbink Eaves Guard need to be overlapped a minimum of 100mm when fixing multiple lengths. They are designed to be overlapped so thay can be fixed for all roof lengths and can be cut to size.
Ubbink Eaves Guard is fixed mechanically using stainless steel nails fixed at 400mm centres into the rafters or fascia board. Any overlaps of the product need to be a minimum of 100mm. The Eaves Guard can be cut down to size to fit the roof design.
The Eaves Guard length can easily be cut down to size to make it universal for all eaves details and sizes.
The roll our rafter tray is designed to ensure that wool based insulation at the eaves do not block the airpath from the eaves ventilator into a cold roof space. Thwe width of the rafter roll required is based on the roof pitch and insulation thickness.
Many roof constructions require low level ventilation. An over fasica vent can guarantee a free area ventilation of 10,000mm²/m or 25,000mm²/m to comply with BS5250:2021. Fascia vents are often the most unobtrusive ventilation products and minimise the chance of stangant air pockets due to their continuous apllication on the eaves.
Bird combs are recommneded when profiled tile such as pantiles and romans create gaps at the eaves that allow access to nesting animals. A bird comb can be fitted to close the gap created by the profile of the tile and stop the risk of animal ingress.
